Swagman Paramount Full-Size Trucks Tailgate Pad Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Paramount tailgate pad and we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2016 Ford F-150. So a tailgate pad is a great way for your truck to utilize the truck bed to hold your bikes. It's an excellent alternative to a hitch on bike rack because typically these tailgate pads are a lot less expensive, so a little bit more budget friendly, but they can hold more bikes and the paramount is no different. You can hold up to seven bikes here. So if you need to get a lot to your destination, this is a good way to do it and it's gonna keep them upright so you're not just tossing them into the bed in a jumbled mess where they're gonna be running into one another and potentially getting damaged on your drive. This is gonna hold the bike upright essentially by wedging it over the tailgate. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp LX and we're gonna see how it fits in the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now this is gonna be a platform-style bike rack, which means the bike sits on top of these trays and this one's going to hold the bike by the frame, primarily. These cradles will be able to move up and down this mast, rotate around 360 degrees and adapt to meet your frame where it's at. So a good option for alternative frames and there's gonna be some secondary points of contact down on each wheel with these straps pulling down at a 45 degree angle against these wheel chocks, which helps give us a really solid hold on the bike. This rack does have a tilting feature. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Mustang Mach-E. Adding a hitch to any vehicle, even on an electrified SUV, this is a performance model, really just adds to what you can do with any vehicle and that can include a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. So really any adventure that you're going on, having a hitch receiver makes a big difference. And this one's kind of neat. It's got its own unique feature and that's where the name Hidden Hitch comes in play, with the twist of a knob, you can see this goes back to an OEM look and then whenever you're ready to start towing or use any of your accessories, you can just simply pop this back in place. Now taking a closer look at our 2" by 2" receiver, this is kind of a unique one as you can see, here's the handle that unlocks and locks and this ratcheting mechanism as you raise this up in place will pop this open and you know, basically get this attached up to that receiver. more

Yakima Aluminum JetStream Crossbars Roof Rack Installation - 2023 Ford Bronco Sport- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack on our 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. Adding a roof rack system to your Bronco Sport is gonna help solve the problem of not having a lot of cargo space, especially if you're at full capacity with your passengers. This is gonna allow you to use the negative space on top of your roof and gain additional room for those bigger, bulkier items that you're gonna take on your journey with you. Taking a closer look at the JetStream bars in our system, they're 60 inches long. They're gonna give you about eight inches of overhang, so that can come in handy for additional tie-down points or if you want to use your T-track slot that's on the top, closer to the end. Also, your TimberLine towers are gonna go right into this space that wrap around your bars, pretty snugly, secured by a rubber strap that's gonna torque down to keep it everything nice and secure on top of the roof. more

Howdy there neighbors, Ian with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat HUK on our 2019 Ford F-150. Let's get into it. Major difference between the Kuat full tailgate cover and the half pad here is that it does give you access to your rear view camera and this handle, you won't be able to drop it with the bike up there, but you don't have any flap like you would with the full size. This makes it a little more convenient if you're concerned about the camera being covered up while you're traveling with your bikes. So with this being a two-bike carrier, it's gonna have a couple different options as far as where you can put these retention straps. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Carrier on our 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. Now, the first thing you may notice about our bike carrier is how it's holding our bike. This is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna put pressure on the front and rear wheel to stabilize the bike on the back of your vehicle. This is gonna work well for those people that have unconventional frames, like step-through bikes, as well as people that just don't want contact to their frame, like carving fiber frame or just a nice paint job. This is gonna allow you to get down the road without any contact to your frame. What I think is super cool about RockyMounts in general is that every contact point where you can make an adjustment is blue, so you know what to reach for and what to do. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Kat Transfer v2 bike carrier on our 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. Now the Transfer is a frame mount, I mean, I'm sorry, a wheel mounted bike carrier, meaning that you're gonna have a contact point on the front of your wheel and a strap on the back wheel. Essentially that's gonna work well for those bikes that you don't want frame contact to that top tube. So if you have a carbon fiber frame or a bike with a nice paint job, this is gonna allow you to secure your bike to the carrier without having any contact to the the frame itself. As far as what you're getting out of this, this is gonna be a step up from the basic bike carrier that you would have, to move multiple bikes. Generally, if you're looking for a four-way for this, you can add an additional extension on here to make this a four carrier. more

The Destination four bike carrier is a great value way to move multiple bikes to get 'em out on the road for you. It's really flexible where it'll work with kids bikes as well as adult bikes. A couple things that I would like to point out it is a frame mounted bike carrier. So that means that if you have a bike where you don't want contact to the frame like a carbon fiber bike or you have a unconventional frame like a step through, this may not be the best option. You might wanna lean more towards a wheel mount. more

Now the Hollywood Racks Destination E is gonna focus more so on your E-bikes, and that has to do with the fact that it is a frame mounted bike carrier. But what's special about it is this rear bar here, this is gonna allow you to make contact with going with your top tube, your down tube or your seat tube, however you need it, for whatever type of bike you have. So if you have an adult bike and kids bike, or if you have one of those newer E-bikes where the frame is more like a step through bike, you're gonna be able to position this however you need. Now I know you're looking and saying, how can I get this arm across It looks like it'll make contact right here. Well, these actually are removable. more

Now this is what your base plate is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part about this one is it slides right in between the grill slats, so that means you don't really have to trim anything out to get this to fit. And it works actually around the shutter, so that's really nice. With other brands out there, Roadmaster has another option for the Maverick that actually looks very similar. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Curt E16 5th Wheel Hitch Kit, and we're gonna see how it fits on our 2022 Ford F-450 with the factory towing prep package. Now I say kit because obviously this comes with the E16 5th wheel hitch, but it's also going to come with these adapter rails that allow your industry standard rail fitting 5th wheel to attach to that factory towing prep package that might be present in your Ford F-450. It's essentially just an adapter that's included with this kit. Now it's worth mentioning that Curt does make a version of the E-Series 5th Wheel Hitch that's designed to go directly into that factory towing prep package. So if you're just getting this for a new truck starting from scratch, that's a kit I go with. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at this CURT adapter rail kit for your 5th wheel hitches, and we're gonna see how it fits in the back of our 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty with the towing prep package. Now, this adapter allows you to convert that towing prep package into essentially a set of industry standard rails that your old 5th wheel hitch can attach to. etrailer Adjustable Ball Mount for 2" Hitch Review - 2020 Ford F-150- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the etrailer Adjustable Ball Mount for two inch hitches, and we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2020 Ford F-150. This adjustable ball mount will give you the option for two different ball sizes, two inch and two and five sixteenths, and allow for up to a six inch drop, or a six inch rise if we were to completely flip this around in the hitch. So, if you tow a variety of different trailers with your F-150, and they're all different coupler sizes, and different heights, and you want to be able to tow them all level without swapping out the ball mount, this could be a good option for you. All those adjustments will be made with pins and clips on the side. more

etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2021 Ford Transit T350- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Ford Transit T350. Now, this is how your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Transit, and it is an exposed cross tube, meaning you can see pretty much the entire majority of the hitch. But this is, you know, with a van like this, it's definitely gonna be used for a utility more than likely and you're not really going for that aesthetic look. But going along with looks, this is a matte black powder coat finish, which matches really well to the plastics. It also holds up against chips and corrosion long term. Now, this hitch in particular is two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and that's gonna be great when choosing ball mounts, bike racks or cargo carriers, 'cause it's kind of the most common size and there's tons of accessories available. more

Really anything you look at is gonna be designed for a naked roof because there's no pre-existing rails on the roof of your Maverick. Everything's gonna come with a rubber fit kit and a clamp kit that'll attach inside your door jamb, so the attachment method's really gonna be unchanged, depending on which one you go with. more

Our base plate is going to be our connection point to the front of our Maverick so we can flat tow it safely going down the road. We've got our Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar connected to the base plate. It will have removable tabs so that whenever you're not flat towing your vehicle, the front of your vehicle looks very, very clean. Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit on our 2024 Ford Maverick. A diode wiring kit is designed to tap in the back of your factory tail light, so that you can accurately transfer the lighting signals from the back of your motor home to the back of your Maverick. Essentially, if you look at it as, like you're pulling a trailer with your motor home, you have to do the same thing as if you're pulling a car behind your motor home. You have to be able to transfer those lighting signals, whether it be your blinkers, your stop, or your running lights, you need to transfer those back here, so the others know what your intentions are when you're going down the road. There are a couple other solutions other than diodes when it comes to choosing a kit for being able to get those lighting signals back here. more

Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and later be showing you how to install this etrailer soft roll-up tonneau cover on the back of our 2023 Ford F-150. Adding a tonneau cover to your F-150 is gonna be a great addition because it's gonna add a little bit of bed protection from things like the elements, it's gonna keep your stuff out of sight, it's gonna help a little bit with fuel economy at those higher highway speeds, and just generally, I think it adds a nice look to the truck. Now when it comes to tonneau cover options, you can separate them into two main categories, hard covers and soft covers. While the soft covers are not gonna provide as much protection for your bed, anyone can come through with a knife and cut through it and get to the stuff inside, if they're determined enough, it will still do those basic functions of keeping your stuff out of sight and out of mind. But more importantly, I think just offering that general weather protection, keeping rain and the elements from just totally barraging down on your stuff and keeping the bed covered up nice and neat. more

etrailer Adjustable Ball Mount Review - 2023 Ford F-150- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this etrailer Adjustable Dual Ball Mount, and we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2023 Ford F-150. An adjustable ball mount is a great way to tow a variety of different trailers with different ride heights. All you gotta do is pull the included pins and clips from the side and we can slide the entire ball up and down this channel or flip it around to a different ball size to accommodate those different trailers. Whether we have a lower ride height that we want to tow level or we just need to switch to a different coupler size. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT four pole trailer wiring harness on a 2020 Ford Edge. Now this is specifically for the SE and SEL models. Now if you're adding a hitch to your Edge, it's definitely worth picking up four pole trailer wiring harness and that's essentially to keep you safe and legal while going down the road. Even if you don't plan on pulling a trailer, it's nice to have this in place, that way, if for whatever reason you may need to tow a small trailer while you're moving or whatever it may be, you'll have this ready to go and that's gonna give you your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights on your trailer, keeping you safe and legal. And as far as the installation goes, this one uses a factory style plug that goes into the back of the taillights. So there's really not, you don't have to be a wiring expert to get this done. more

Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit Installation - 2022 Ford F-150- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Demco Base Plate on a 2022 Ford F-150. There's gonna be five main components required when flat towing a vehicle, and the first is going to be the base plate. And that's gonna be the structural support that's on the frame of the vehicle, and that's gonna allow you to hook up your tow bar. And that's gonna be the connecting point between the hitch on the RV and the base plate. That way, you can safely tow it down the road. more
